What Is SynthID?

SynthID is an AI watermarking system developed by Google DeepMind. It embeds a hidden signal into AI-generated images that is imperceptible to humans but easily detected by AI tools.

The goal is to “watermark” images created by AI image generators like DALL-E and Stable Diffusion. This allows for identification of synthetic media while being invisible to the naked eye.
